Listed Canadian Artist Stewart Paley* Signed, on lower left, this Striking Brutalist Abstract. It is an Original Watercolor on Paper (card)board. Mostly linear shapes and subtle colors blend in a chaotic, even frantic style. We get a very ‘industrial’, almost mechanical feel to this piece. Intense composition.
Paper board measures 9 7/8 X 12 7/8 and is in Good to Very Good condition with an Acid Free tape repair on reverse corner (to strengthen we assume).

*Stewart Paley, American/Canadian, (b. 1940) is a New Yorker who has lived in Canada for several decades. Mr. Paley is known for his abstract work and is considered one of the pioneers in the Abstract Expressionist movement. He creates a landscape of disparate images that come together in one fascinating fabric, open to the viewer’s personal interpretation. He has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums.
