About The Artist:

Mr. Robert Baty is a Chicago area, self-taught, artist with 1,034 works produced to date (since 2003), specializing in original oil paintings of Landscapes and Still Life. Robert also specializes in painting dogs, cats and other pets and animals, as well as winter scenes. Robert paints in Impressionistic and Post-Impressionistic styles, as well as in Realism, Neo-Pointillism, German Expressionism and in specific artistic styles; particularly, Vincent van Gogh, for which he specializes in. Topics of specialty include: Lighthouses, animals (dogs and cats especially), nocturnes, cityscapes and water (lakes, streams, rivers and especially shorelines).

Robert s works hang in 100 s of family households, Fortune 500 companies (including Comcast, Hewlett Packard and Raymond James, among others), government facilities (post offices, township offices), many small businesses and churches. One of Robert s hockey paintings was shown by David Kaplan on his TV show Sports Talk Live in 2015, and hangs on the walls of Comcast Chicago .

Robert s artwork has been featured on The Van Gogh Museum s Facebook page three times, on Jan 9,2020 with 27,000 likes, and on Aug 9, 2020 with 24,000 likes; which were two of the highest responded to posts by the Van Gogh Museum in last 18 months. Robert on his love for Van Gogh: Vincent and the Van Gogh Museum changed my life dramatically since my first museum visit in 2003. I ve visited about 30 times since and I live near Chicago!
