ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Ivanov Mikhail Innokent’evich Born June 6, 1909 in the village of Bolshoi Kemchutsy (now the Krasnoyarsk Territory). He studied at the Odessa Art Institute (1930 – 1934), graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1939). Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the field of easel painting and book graphics. Main works: “Ours have come” (1939); “Fights near the station of Bede” (1940); “The Knight from the Dnieper” (1946); “The apple tree blossomed” (1951); illustrations for the book “We are Soviet people” by B. Polevoy, K., 1950; collections “Romanian folk tales”, K., 1957 and others. Participated in exhibitions since 1928, republican since 1947, foreign since 1939. Associate Professor (1952). Awarded with a medal. Died November 8, 1976.
