Description
Original oil painting on canvas, presented in a bold gallery frame, depicting a view of boats on a river, before a riverside cottage, in the village of Killin, Perthshire in the Central Highlands of Scotland. This vibrant, eye-catching painting was created in 2006 by the Scottish artist David Morrison (1958-2011).
David Morrison was born in Falkirk, and studied at Duncan of Jordanson College of Art in Dundee. He was brought up surrounded by boats and often included them in his work, and after moing to Ardentinny in Argyll in 1974, his works were inspired by its landscape with its dramatic moods and ever changing weather.
