Bull Defending a Calf From A Wolf, 19th Century

circle of Jaques Raymond Brascassat 1804-1867

Fine large 19th Century Hilltop scene of a bull defending a calf from a wolf attack, oil on canvas. Unique and superbly painted nature scene by an accomplished hand and similar to the subjects of Brascassat. Good condition in its original antique gilt frame.
