Our Choices in Charitable Giving:

First United Methodist Church, Ventura, CA–  is where my grand-niece attends preschool. They re a wonderfully kind group who look after little ones very well. My little niece started there when she was 2 years old and now is nearly 4. The preschool is called Happy Ventures. It truly is a happy place for little ones to grow and learn.

Dirty Dog Squad is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abandoned and neglected pets. We are an all volunteer, grass-roots organization based in Venice, CA. Environment and Protection of Animals Marina del Rey CA.  I have always had a soft spot for dogs. They are the best friends ever and in our home have become part of the family.

For this reason I also support Boston Buddies. Which rescues Boston Terriers all over Southern California. We adopted 2 of their rescue dogs in 2011. They re absolutely a delight.

Boston Buddies Inc. Is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting any Boston Terrier in need in the Southern California area. The Corporation will accept Boston Terriers from animal shelters, backyard breeders, strays and private individuals who must surrender their pet, with the intention of placing these animals in appropriate loving homes after interviews with the potential adopters and home checks have been made. Environment and Protection of Animals Huntington Beach CA.

Breast Cancer and other Cancer related charities. Cancer has a prevalence in our family. Any sort of research that supports a cure, or teaches patients how to manager their disease is near and dear to us.  We look for centers here in California and have supported the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.

We also follow Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. As a lifelong Christian, I feel his is one of the best messages of hope, whether you believe or not. The power of positive thoughts are valid in any faith. May God bless us all.
