Painting on wood plaque by folk artist, Dotty Chase. New England nautical theme with sailing ship and lighthouse. Quintessential Americana. We believe this is an early work, as all we find are prints, notecards or other reproductions. Her later work moved on mostly to cats. Signed at lower right D. Chase . Not dated, but probably from the 1970 s to 1980 s.

Overall size is approximately 13-3/4 x 11 .

In very good preowned condition. Some paint overlap at edges and craquelure to older varnish.
