Description and Item Information

Up for sale is this beautifully executed, framed oil on masonite board painting by the listed California artist, Van Waldron. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This painting depicts, in an impressionist style, a rainy day landscape scene which includes trees, buildings, and a road with cars. The sight area is approximately 10 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches; the board dimensions are about 11 inches by 14 inches. The painting is housed in a wooden frame with a grayish wash; the frame is newer than the painting. The frame dimensions are approximately 14 3/8 inches by 17 7/16 inches. Unpacked, this piece weighs approximately 1 pound 14 ounces. It would be a wonderful addition to a collection of California fine art.

Identification

This painting is by the well-regarded California artist, Van Waldron (1936-2012). It is titled verso, Rain, and it is dated 1991. Waldron is listed on askART, in Who s Who in Art, in Who s Who in America, and in Who s Who in the World. Per askART, this artist is known for landscape, seascape, and floral still life painting. Per the artist s website, Waldron was a professional painter for over four decades. He also worked as a commercial artist and art show judge. Waldron taught workshops in California and Nevada. Over the course of his career, he won over 300 national and regional awards. His paintings were exhibited in several galleries across the United States.

Condition

The artwork looks great overall, with no damage noted. The frame has light wear. In my opinion, this piece is ready to hang and enjoy. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.

1. Payments

Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.

2. Shipping

Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller s next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.

Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller s choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller s discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.

Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
