This listing is for an original Pax Nidorf acrylic painting on canvas featuring a surrealist landscape of a schooner sailing in the sky through the clouds. It was painted in 2010 by Fallbrook, California artist Dr. Pax Nidorf. The original sale price for this piece was $500.
It s 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall. It is unframed, but is fitted with shipping support strips that look like a frame when hung on the wall. They were put in place by the artist using tacks into the frame and are easily removable.

Background on the artist: Pax Nidorf was born in the spring of 1932. He spent the first 20 years of his life studying art and other educational pursuits. The second 20 years were spent in intensive training in the Augustinian monastic order, and was ordained as a Catholic priest in 1962. During these years, he continued his art work and started Dignity, a ministry to gay & lesbian Catholics.
Pax left the priesthood in the 1973, was married, and began his private practice as a psychotherapist. Throughout his life, Pax has always had many ongoing creative projects. He has been a productive artist as an adult and has had many one-man shows throughout the West. He has a large following in Southern California with a waiting list for his commissioned works.
