Sunrise Harbor – By Jack DeCoudres Leonard.
Painter, muralist, illustrator, etcher, architect. Born in Chicago, IL on Aug. 20, 1904.
Leonard studied in NYC at the NAD and Grand Central School of Art.
By the early 1930s he was in southern California where he was a pupil of Clarence Hinkle.
He lived in Laguna Beach until 1938 when he returned to New York. He died in Freeport,
NY in March 1980. His media included watercolor and oil. He is listed in the Who’s Who in American Art.
The painting is not in pristine condition having been stored since the late 1970’s.
Could use some light cleaning when matted and re-framed.
