This is one of two paintings by the incredible Joseph Otto Flatter. It is a satirical depiction of a cocktail party.
JOSEPH OTTO FLATTER was born in Vienna in 1894.
His studies at the Vienna Academy of fine Art were interrupted by the outbreak of World War I.
He married concert pianist Hilda Loewe and lived in London enjoying critical Acclaim until World War II.
He became a war artist and attended the Nuremberg war crimes trial as an official British war artist.
Flatter was also known for his anti-Nazi cartoons. His satirical work is well represented in the IMPERIAL WAR Museum in London which loans out exhibitions of his work to various institutions.
I would encourage you to check out the audio history of the artist which can be found at the imperial war Museum in London.
If you’re seriously interestedd in collecting quality original art you can’t do any better than acquiring a work by FLATTER.
